London is home to one of the largest LGBT+ communities in the world, and This Is Soho is proud to be celebrating all things Pride in London.
This year marks a very special moment in history for Pride in London, as it sees the #PrideMatters campaign run for a whole month. Celebrate #PrideMatters in This Is Soho stores, restaurants and bars are with seriously exciting in-store promotions, events, themed products and special food and drink offers for you to enjoy.
The Ivy Brasserie will be kicking off the festivities on 2 July with an exclusive cocktail featuring grapefruit juice, Créme de Rose and Hibiscus syrup, plus a mouth-watering 'Strawberry Pride Melting Dome' dessert made up on fresh strawberries, meringue and honeycomb, all encased in a white chocolate dome and topped with a rainbow stripe. In addition to these scrumptous treats, on 7 July (the day of the parade) between 11-4pm, weekend brunch will be hosted by some of London's most loved drag queens including; Tiffaney Wells, Kitty, Topsy and Chamoix.
BBQ basement restaurant Temper, are celebrating Pride this year with an exclusive cocktail ‘Peach on the Beach’, a cocktail made up of vodka, peach, pineapple and raspberry.
The Piano Bar will be putting on a Soho Pride Special on 7 July with the wonderful jazz/blues singer Annie Bea, plus some very special guest apperances. Find out how to get hold of tickets here.
There will also be a special Pride pop-up hub located at 72 Old Compton Street in Soho, where you can browse and shop official Pride merchandise and even receive some exclusive goodies and giveaways. Open from Friday 8 June – Friday 13 July, discover cool tees, mugs, tote bags, alongside festival tickets and Pride Matters wristbands. Plus, don't miss a diverse mix of talks and workshops.
On 11 July Pride's Trans Community Engagement Manager Kate will be leading a Trans Takeover Evening, with speeches from leading members of the trans community. You can register for free tickets here. The Pride pop-up hub will also be putting on a Preview Screening of '69' on 12 July, a documentary on Europe's oldest leather club, you can register for free admission here. Lastly on 13 July the Pride hub will be transformed into a Queer Frontiers Art Expo, a pop-up art exhibition in association with Artiq, a celebration of queer artists. All work will be available to purchase throughtout the day to raise funds for Pride and the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.
