Flavours of Autumn

Taste the latest flavours of the season in Soho.

Is it just us or is everyone getting excited for the change of weather this year? Hands up if you can't wait to get cosy and eat some delicious comfort food? Soho is bursting with a range of independent restaurants, bars and takeaways and this autumn we are excited about all the new additions ready to fill our tums. Find out what’s new in Soho below.

Dirty Bones on Denman Street is one of our go-to spots for a warming comfort-food meal, from dirty burgers to fried chicken, we love it all. This Autumn they have added a few new items to the Soho menu. The Southern Fried Donuts are served with Franks® hot sauce, maple syrup and ranch dressing. They are totally addictive and a perfect snack to share with your pals. BUT the main event is their Crispy Fried Chicken in a sweet waffle bun served with a roasted peanut butter mayo, crispy bacon, gherkins and pickled onion. It's perfect for those days when you can’t pick between a sweet and savoury option.

Pure is Soho’s soft spot for a healthy breakfast on Beak Street and is now serving delicious plant-based options including porridge, birchers and fresh juices. Their lunches range from freshly made salads, vegan wraps, plant soups and hot boxes all perfectly washed down with some locally roasted coffee. YUM!

Crosstown Doughnuts have just launched two new doughnut flavours and we are obsessed! The Chocolate & Honeycomb doughnut is made with a vegan black cocoa dough cocooning a rich dark chocolate custard, topped off with a generous sprinkle of honeycomb and a layer of chocolate ganache. Mouth-watering! Another new doughnut is the Vietnamese Coffee, made in their signature sourdough, stuffed with condensed milk custard, topped with coffee glaze and finished with salted cashew nut crumble. DELICIOUS!

Fancy a new autumnal flavour in your morning coffee? Algerian Coffee Stores have just launched their new Turmeric Spiced Coffee packed with hints of cinnamon which will kick your day off the right way. Alongside this, they have released the Autumn blend Colombian coffee.

Mr Ji launches a monthly series of Asian-inspired Sunday roasts running on the first Sunday of every month. If you fancy something a little more eclectic for your Sunday roast this week, head to Mr Ji’s for a feast by Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng of Tā Tā Eatery. Indulge in Tā Tā’s take on siu mei, aka Cantonese roasted meats. Of course, it’s not a roast dinner without all the trimmings, so expect lettuce cups with shiso, unlimited jasmine rice with salted duck egg, and spring onion & pickles. Now that sounds like a roast we want to get involved with. Don’t miss out on this series this season.

Söderberg's much-loved pumpkin bread is back! Crisp on the outside with a warming fluffy inside, this bread is perfect toasted with just a small dollop of butter. Unfortunately, it's only here until the end of October, but stay tuned for some of their winter delights to hit the scene again.

Rita's is one of our latest additions to the food and drink family in Soho, so their WHOLE menu is new really. From traditional margaritas to modern American food, they have got your tastebuds covered. The tear and share garlic bread is a big hit during the cooler evenings, accompanied by some jalapeño poppers; the perfect pairing for an afternoon nibble!

Stay tuned for a whole new autumn menu at Kricket!
