Elbows at the ready; Saturday 21 April sees the return of Record Store Day UK with another hotly anticipated event celebrating the UK’s independent record stores, plus over 500 exclusive releases.

Here’s our hot list of must-buys, from limited presses to special editions and exclusives this Saturday 21 April. With the most amount of record stores within a square mile in London, Soho is the place to make sure you get your hands on the record of your choice.

In the lead up to RSD, we've been celebrating with Loud & Quiet's Bands Buy Records series, who take on the treasure chest record stores of Soho.

Nas: Live From The Kennedy Center
A performance originally screened on US Network PBS, this exclusive double disc vinyl is the sounds from the Nas performance at the Kennedy Center to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Illmatic. Performed in full, backed by the National Symphony Orchestra.

Prince: 1999
The first repressing of the cut-down 1999 album in 25 years. Funk, in small doses.

David Bowie: Welcome to the Blackout
Enjoy 3 LPs of Bowie’s Earls Court performances form 30 June and 1 July 1987 during the Isolar II world tour.

Fleetwood Mac: Tango in the night
Enjoy all the alternative takes from Tango in The Night, pressed onto vinyl for the very first time.

The Streets: Remixes & B-Sides
Welcome back The Streets. These 2004 tunes take their wax-form for the first time alongside rare ones including ‘Street Score’. 

What to do?

Head to Sister Ray for a whole host of exciting activations throughout the day. Enjoy complimentary Friels Cider, or for those early risers, sip on a cup of coffee from the coffee stall. You can also be in with a chance of winning a HiFi and loads of discount vouchers with Richer Sounds; simply ask in store for more details. 

Make sure to be one of the first in line at the RSD vinyl store lines on 21 April, as the first 20 people in each record shop queue will get an exclusive Fred Perry x RSD tote bag. Then head to Fred Perry in the Newburgh Quarter for a brew and breakfast on them.

To celebrate Record Store Day, Underground will be hosting 'The Sleeves That Shaped Sounds' exhibition in-store from 20 April - 4 May. The exhibition will feature album artwork picked out by Underground's favourite Punk Pioneers, such as Dennis Morris and Heather Baron-Grace.
