About TOKKIA
TOKKIA is Europe’s first Korean matcha house, created to bring the warmth and culture of Korean tea to London. Founded by Sooji Im, the brand celebrates Korean matcha through carefully sourced teas and thoughtful preparation.
The name TOKKIA translates to “hey bunny!” in Korean and is inspired by the founder’s pet bunny, Hazelnut, whose gentle character shaped the brand’s identity. Rooted in care, connection, and craftsmanship, TOKKIA offers Korean matcha and hojicha alongside seasonal drinks and salt breads (sogeum-bbang). TOKKIA Soho is the second location of Europe’s first Korean matcha house, bringing together Korean matcha, seasonal drinks and an expanded bakery offering on Berwick Street.
Our Soho matcha house places the bakery at the forefront. At the heart of the menu is Korean salt bread, a soft, buttery staple of Seoul's café culture. Alongside the classic version, the new location introduces a range of sweet and savoury flavours, including injeolmi cream, jalapeño chicken sausage, doenjang corn, and more.
Freshly baked throughout the day, each salt bread travels through a pair of custom-built tunnels from the bakery to the front counter. Inspired by a rabbit burrow, the bakery-led matcha house offers a warm, intimate setting. The drinks menu remains rooted in Korean tea culture, featuring matcha sourced from Jeju Island alongside seasonal specials inspired by Korean flavours and ingredients.
