In July, we had National Tequila Day; one of our favourite days of the year in Soho. The energy is high and the tequila is strong. Get your bitter lime faces at the ready because shots are on the way! We have rounded up some of the hottest tequila cocktails in Soho. You will not be disappointed with your tipple of choice if you pick one of these delicious concoctions. The best part is, they are available all summer long!
First up, The Duck and Rice have created a margarita with a sweet and sour twist on the classic recipe by adding “Hiver” honey beer on top of their margarita. Catch yourself sipping on a Honey Margarita at Duck and Rice’s fabulous streetside window seat overlooking the hustle and bustle of Berwick Street. Want to try it at home? Why not grab the ingredients and try out the recipe below.
40ml Arette Blanco tequila
15ml lime juice
Shake well and double strain
Top with Hiver, honey beer
Garnish with mints leaves
We cannot forget the legendary Margarita makers themselves at Rita’s on Lexington Street. Their wide range of margaritas makes choosing so difficult, so we’ve decided to try all three! We can't reveal all their secret ingredients, but check out their recipes below for an idea of how this magic is made. Have it shaken on the rocks to help that floral nutty note breeze through the cold ice.

Fancy a refreshing drink? Rita’s has got you covered with a Fresh Start. Their simple version of the classic Tommy’s margarita with an added flavour of sancho peppers infused into the tequila and garnished with electric daisies, giving off a soft tingle as you drink and enjoy.
The El Sol is a layered margarita, giving off Tequila Sunrise vibes, but with a fresh, subtle summer flavour. The frothy, spicy turmeric and pineapple margarita on top of a rich, bitter pomegranate base makes for the perfect summer tipple.
Heritage, known for its strong drinks and great vibes, their Tommy's Heritage cocktail is one for a Friday night drink. With a citrus touch of orange liquor and tabasco, this will get the tastebuds fired up.
