The Forty-Fourth Annual Soho Summer Fête

Snail races, spagetti eating oompetitions and on-street performances can only mean one thing - the annual Soho Village Fête.

It’s almost that time of year again, The Soho Society are putting on their forty-fourth annual summer shindig - the Soho Village Fête

Looking for a family day out in the West End? The Summer Fête is a celebration of everything we love about Soho.

The charity (founded by resident Lisa Sheehy) will be putting on their legendary games and competitions.  Expect textbook activities including; snail racing, tug of war, spaghetti eating, alpine horn blowing and much more.

One of the highlights of the day will be an old Soho summer tradition known as “The Waiters’ Race”. The staff from the surrounding restaurants and cafés compete to raise funds for The Soho Society and most importantly, someone will win the coveted ‘Soho Waiters’ Cup’. The race begins at 3:30PM outside The French House pub, with the finish line at Gerry’s Wines and Spirits

Live performances will be held by the Soho Parish School rock band, French Artist; Anne Pigalle, a Marlene Dietrich impersonator; Anke Landeau, The Red Stripes and a drag act finale – stay tuned to find out who.

Save the date and come and celebrate! Entry is FREE, but donations are always greatly appreciated.

Soho Fête takes place at St Anne’s Churchyard, Wardour Street, London on Sunday 1st July, from 12 – 6PM.
