Late Plates at Dishoom
Available until 20th September
Indulge in Late Plates, when Dishoom's Chef-walle cook off-menu: age-old family recipes and glorious mouthfuls from the most intimate corners of Bombay. Never-before-seen dishes that you will not find on the All Day menu, served only late at night. Limited quantities available each day.
Available dishes include Butter Pepper Crab, a glorious sharing affair. Indo-Chinese harmony of delicate white crab meat in salty-sweet oyster sauce with butter-mellowed garlic and pepper. Slipped back into its shell, strewn with chilli and coriander. Scoop up and pat down onto slices of toasted pau. Also dig into Lamb Nihari with Khamri Roti, lamb-on-the-bone slow-cooked to yielding tenderness with generous spice, for strength and protection against faintness of heart.
Dishes are available from 9:30pm onwards only, from Sunday-Thursday. Bookable via the Dishoom website.

Limited-Edition at Pizza Pilgrims

This August, Pizza Pilgrims are celebrating one of Italy's most treasured seasonal ingredients with a limited-edition pizza inspired by the flavours, colours and spirit of an Italian summer. The special showcases Yellow Piennolo tomatoes, harvested at their peak from the volcanic slopes of Mount Vesuvius and grown by our long-standing tomato producer, Aniello.
The pizza features a vibrant yellow tomato base topped with spicy Italian sausage, smoked provola mozzarella, roasted red onions, fresh basil and olive oil - celebrating the very best of seasonal Neapolitan produce.
The Smashed Onion Double Cheeseburger
Flat Iron have officially launched their annual burger - the Smashed Onion Double Cheeseburger.
It starts with two patties, made using beef from their herd in North Yorkshire. Then come paper-thin slices of sweet white onion, smashed directly into and around the beef as it cooks. Some of the onions caramelise, some steam, and some remain barely cooked, delivering different flavours and textures in every bite. It’s then topped with American mustard and cheese, sliced pickles, ketchup bearnaise (basically, any excuse for more butter), and crispy batter scraps for extra beefiness and crunch.

Lina Stores has launched a new weekday lunch and pre-theatre menu. Enjoy two courses for £17, three for £20, Monday to Friday from 12pm to 5pm. Whether it’s a long lunch, a stolen hour or an early dinner, this menu that knows how to make the most of the time.
To begin, a Green Salad with Tropea onion and the house dressing; Fried Ricotta & Herb Gnudi with chilli marmellata; and Burrata. Then pasta – always the centrepiece. Choose from Pea & Mint Ricotta Ravioli, Black Truffle Tagliolini or Veal Ragu Pappardelle. For dessert indulge in a Dark Chocolate Mousse, Tiramisu, Sorbet or Gelato.
